Once a year, since 1976, the Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts, has held a Day/Weekend Retreat for Kindergarten through 12th grade Girls in Scouting in our Diocese to grow and celebrate their Catholic Faith. The is the only “All Girls” retreat in our diocese and is open to all girls in the diocese, whether they are in Scouting or not.
Each year the retreat is led by girls in High School, who choose the theme, and create the activities, adding leadership skills to their spiritual growth.
Girls in Kindergarten through 4th grade are encouraged to come for the Day Retreat. Girls in 4ththrough 8th grade may come for the day or weekend. (4th graders with camping experience are encouraged to come for the weekend.)
Adult volunteers are always needed, but must be either DOSP Level 2 approved and have completed Safe Environment Training (available online). or GSWCF approved volunteer with appropriate eligible background check.
