About the School
Morning Star is a small, non-profit school located in Pinellas Park, Florida. We are a mission of the Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg and serve students with a variety of learning challenges and related difficulties. MSSPP provides Kindergarten through 12th grade students with a full-day, comprehensive curriculum in a structured, small group setting.
Our state certified special education teachers create individualized educational plans to meet the unique needs of each student. Building self-esteem and self-confidence is integrated into the curriculum of language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, Religious education, physical education, technology, library, art, and music. Students may also receive the specialized services of speech and occupational therapy as part of the school day. Morning Star has also partnered with Engage Behavioral Health for applied behavioral analysis therapy. The student teacher ratio averages 11:1. The administration, faculty, staff and parents work together to provide a safe, nurturing, educationally-challenging environment in which students can achieve their full potential academically, socially and spiritually.
