Mrs. Sophie Carroll

The Chancellor’s Office was notified of the passing of Mrs. Sophie Carroll, age 81, on July 23, 2019.  Mrs. Carroll was a long-time employee of the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle, St. Petersburg, as well as the Pastoral Center, where she served in multiple capacities, including as Secretary to the Chancellor.

At the time of her death, Mrs. Carroll was living in Washington, Connecticut.  Funeral services were held on July 26, 2019 in Connecticut.

She is survived by her loving husband; three daughters and one son; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A Celebration Mass was held at St. Jude Cathedral on August 6, 2019.
