Word reached the Chancellor’s Office that Ms. Joanne M. Tomassi, 67 years, long-time Parish Office Manager of St. John Vianney Parish, St. Pete Beach, passed away in the Lord today, Monday, April 17, 2023, at St. Anthony’s Hospital, St. Petersburg.  In addition to her work for the parish, Ms. Tomassi was highly involved with the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and served as their National Regent (President) from 2010 to 2012.

She is survived by her sisters, Rose (William) Wilkins and Marie Tomassi Postlethwait.

Prayer service followed by visitation, May 1, 5:30-7:30 PM, at Brett Funeral Home, 4810 Central Avenue, Saint Petersburg, FL.
Funeral Mass on May 2nd at 10:30 AM, St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 445 82nd Ave, Saint Pete Beach, preceded by a rosary at 10 AM. Reception immediately following at the church hall. Private interment.   In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Vincent de Paul ministry at St. John Vianney Parish are appreciated.
