The Chancellor’s Office has been notified of the death of Mrs. Mary Carruthers, 95, mother of Monsignor Michael Carruthers, Parochial Administrator of Resurrection Parish, Riverview, late Monday evening, January 27, 2020, while under Hospice care at Bon Secours Place, St. Petersburg.  She had experienced a rapid decline in health since last August.

Mrs. Carruthers was predeceased by her husband, Robert, and is survived by her daughter Regina (Joseph) Boniface, sons Robert (Marilyn) Carruthers and Monsignor Michael Carruthers, grandsons Matthew and Michael (Katie) Boniface and great-granddaughter Fiona Boniface.

A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Carruthers was held today, Monday, February 3 at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, 820 Jasmine Way, Clearwater, Florida.  A second Funeral Mass has been planned for Wednesday, February 5, 2020, 1:00 p.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, Jensen Beach, Florida.  Burial will immediately follow in nearby All Saints Cemetery, Jensen Beach.
