The Chancellor’s Office received the news that Mr. Joey Obordo, 58, brother of Ms. Claire Obordo, Lay Pastoral Assistant at Sacred Heart Parish, Dade City, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, May 19, 2023, at his home in Flower Mound, Texas.  He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Julie, along with his sister, Claire Obordo, as well as other family members and loved ones.  Mr. and Mrs. Obordo previously resided in the Diocese of St. Petersburg, where they attended St. Catherine of Siena Parish, Clearwater.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30, 4-7pm at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL. Joey’s Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 10am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church 1955 S. Belcher Road, Clearwater, FL 33764 with a Graveside Service to follow at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park.
