Conference Room to Become a Classroom for Hurricane Impacted Students in St. Petersburg
The effort to relocate hundreds of students in only one week since the storm has been an amazing demonstration of collaboration, compassion, and faith!
What: A large conference room at the offices of Bishop Gregory Parkes and the Diocese of Saint Petersburg will be converted to a classroom to welcome hurricane impacted students from St. Pete Beach. The middle school students currently attend St. John Vianney Catholic School which was flooded during Hurricane Helene and is closed for repairs and restoration.
When/Where: School at this new location will begin on Monday, October 7th.

Friday, October 4, 9:30 a.m., St. Patrick Catholic School, 1501 Trotter Rd, Largo, Volunteers will be picking up and delivering desks to the Pastoral Center.
Friday, October 4, 10:15 a.m., Diocese of Saint Petersburg Pastoral Center, 6363 9th Avenue North, St. Petersburg. Volunteers will be putting desks in place and getting the space ready for students.

Additional Information:
Starting October 7th, St. John Vianney Catholic School students from Pre-K through 5th grade will be attending classes at the Cathedral School of St. Jude, in St. Petersburg, and middle school students in Grades 6-8 will be accommodated at St. Petersburg Catholic High School and the Pastoral Center. Also, Holy Martyrs of Vietnam Catholic Church has graciously opened their doors to students of the Holy Family Early Learning Center in St. Petersburg beginning October 7th due to the flooding at Holy Family.
