Mutually Shared Vision History

January 4, 2017	Most Reverend Gregory Parkes is installed at the fifth bishop of the Diocese of St. Petersburg and shortly after he begins to receive questions about his vision for the Diocese.
Feb. 2017-April, 2017	Bishop Parkes seeks feedback from the congregation at all parishes and missions in the Diocese of St. Petersburg by inviting them to attend Listening Sessions or complete an online survey. His three main questions: What are we doing well as a diocese? What could we be improving?  What should we be focusing on as a local Church?
November 1, 2017	Bishop Parkes announces a Visioning Process will be held to discern a new Mutually-Shared Vision for the Diocese of St. Petersburg.
November 21, 2017	Bishop Parkes names the 15 Visioning Team members.
Dec. 2017- April, 2018	Visioning Team members meet to review results of Listening Sessions and other relevant information to discern a Mutually-Shared Vision and develop a plan of priorities and goals that will guide the Diocese of St. Petersburg into the future with purpose, focus, clarity and above all, in service to Jesus Christ. June 17, 2018	On the 50th Anniversary of the Diocese of St. Petersburg, Bishop Parkes will announce the Mutually-Shared Vision to parishioners during a video presentation at churches in the Diocese of St. Petersburg.
Ongoing	Bishop Parkes conducts pastoral visits with the faithful to learn about their hopes and concerns.
