Here are some of the creative responses from colleagues around the Diocese of St. Petersburg.

While some of the examples below were specific to the Lenten Season or Holy Week when safe at home practices first began, the examples of how link, resources, suggestions for use by pastors and parish leaders remain useful as models. As we move through the Easter Season, themes will change, content will be different, links to publisher resources will lead to resources updated by the publishers and national ministry organizations. I hope these examples below serve to applaud the creative responses of ministry leaders around the Diocese of St. Petersburg as well as inspire and encourage those also want to accompany children, teens, families and households of faith in their own parishes and spheres of influence.

Coping with Coronavirus: Helping Kids and Families

Along with Fr. Mike Smith, Dr. Nadine Skelton, Dr. Julie Reich, and Mackenzie Kraker staff and ministry leaders in faith formation at Corpus Christi Parish in Temple Terrace prepared a Power Point presentation called Coping with Coronavirus: Helping Kids and Families. This 30 minute presentation, provides simple and practical answers to questions that we all have as adults, parents, grandparents, children, teens related to the unusual times we are living.  Please see the videos below in English and Spanish.

Director of Faith Formation Joy Bleiker has worked with her Pastor at OLL, Fr. Gary Dowsey, and Parochial Vicar, Fr. Victor Amorose and I suspect other folks behind the scenes to utilize the parish Flocknote Program to accompany, inform and form children, youth and adults. Kudos to all!

Virtual Stations of the Cross from Blessed Sacrament Parish Faith Formation, Tampa:

We offered a project for our First communion and confirmations students- make a virtual stations of the cross- since catechesis was assigned to this Friday’s meditation. 
We are still trying to get used to the online life and keeping up with our kids, so we put this video together in a few days!
