Bishop Parkes will Renew our Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
All are invited to join virtually for a livestream Mass with Bishop Gregory Parkes as he renews our diocesan consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
This Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle.
Making a consecration is an act of love and love needs to be constantly renewed. Renewing your consecration means giving yourself again to Jesus in and through the Heart of Mary. Each year we are invited to renew our consecration personally and as a Diocese.
Over 1,300 people gathered at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle on Sunday, May 6, 2018, to pray during a Holy Hour as Bishop Gregory Parkes first consecrated the Diocese of St. Petersburg to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our consecration was renewed in 2019 and in 2020.

This renewal will occur during the third annual Marian Congress, a multicultural gathering for prayer, reflection and faith-sharing. The theme is, “Mary Welcomes You With Open Arms.”
The Blessed Virgin Mary is a perfect model of evangelization. She leads us to her son Jesus Christ, and she welcomes each of us with open arms as her beloved children. We hope you will share in our excitement about this virtual and faith-filled event that draws us closer to the Heart of Jesus through Mary!
The keynote speaker will be Father Chris Alar, MIC, National Shrine of The Divine Mercy.
