Chosen by Him – A Day of Reflection & Discernment for Women
The Office of Vocations will host Chosen by Him – A Day of Reflection & Discernment for Women, on Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 10 am until 2 pm at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle in St. Petersburg.

Hear the vocation stories of the women religious who have courageously served in the Diocese of St. Petersburg!

CRS Mini-Grants
The Office of Life, Justice and Advocacy is pleased to announce the beginning of our annual grant process for funding hunger and poverty alleviation efforts in the Diocese.  Ministries from parishes, schools, and other diocesan entities can apply for up to $1,000.00 to assist with programming and advocacy efforts to eradicate hunger.  Twenty-five percent of Diocesan CRS Rice Bowl collections are retained and have been made available for this grant program. Annual White Mass to be Celebrated on October 26, 2019
The Catholic Medical Association (CMA) “Tampa Bay Guild of St. Philomena” invites all physicians, medical students and other healthcare professionals to the Annual White Mass and Dinner on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Christ the King Parish in Tampa.

The Vigil Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Parkes at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Dinner will follow with speaker Dr. Robert Motley, a Family Medicine physician and Clinical Professor in PA  who is active in the CMA. His topic is “Witness In An Age of Conflict”.

Dinner is $58.00 per person. All healthcare provider participants must register to attend by October 16 here.

Juvenile Detention Ministry Seminar
Saturday, October 5, 9AM-1PM, Our Lady of Lourdes, Dunedin
Project Angel will be hosting a seminar for potential volunteers of the Juvenile Detention Ministry on becoming a mentor, a prayer support partner, a facility support volunteer, and how to organize and lead a local effort within your Parish.  This seminar will also provide the application and vetting required by the state of Florida to qualify as a volunteer within the Juvenile Justice System.  Includes breakfast and all fees.  RSVP to  Aaron.Treherne@KofC.org or 727-403-7260.


Emmaus Retreat for Men – November 1 – 3, 2019
All men are invited to the next Emmaus Retreat designed for men who would like to explore their relationship with Jesus. Hispanic Heritage Month at Saint Leo University: Tres Vidas (Three Lives)
Saint Leo University welcomes all on Monday, September 30, at 7 p.m., to Tres Vidas (Three Lives), a dramatic work about three prominent Latinas. One of the women, Rufina Amaya (1943-2207) of Salvador, became a Catholic lay pastor following a tragic event.

The performance will be at the Saint Leo University Student Community Center, 33701 State Road 52, St. Leo, FL, 33574. Admission is free. Contact number: (352) 588-8401.

Saint Leo University will host an Undergraduate Admissions Fall Open House on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 33701 State Road 52, St. Leo, FL 33574. Students of all ages are welcome to attend with their families and friends, starting at 8 a.m.
