The Chancellor’s Office has received word of the passing of Mrs. Sheryl Boyle, 73, mother of Reverend Ryan Boyle, J.C.L., a priest of the Diocese of St. Petersburg on loan to the Archdiocese for the Military Services, U.S.A. Mrs. Boyle passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

Mrs. Boyle is survived by her spouse of 52 years, Gary Boyle, of Valrico, FL; her son, Lieutenant Colonel (Chaplain) Ryan Boyle, USAF, of Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan; her sister, Ivy Oliasami, and her spouse, Jeffrey, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; and her brothers, Marc Hibbs of Kill Devil Hills, NC; and Kevin Hibbs of Antelope, CA. Sheryl is predeceased by her parents, Katherine and Alvin Hibbs, and, sadly, her youngest son, Matthew Boyle.

Funeral Mass took place on August 10, 2024 at Nativity Parish, Brandon, followed by burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Clearwater.
