It is with deep sadness that we notify you of the unexpected passing of Mrs. Fran Gibson, wife of Deacon Jim Gibson, ordained for the Diocese of St. Petersburg in 2009. Before moving to the Archdiocese of Atlanta in 2019, Jim served at Light of Christ Parish, Clearwater, and later at St. Brendan Parish in Clearwater.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered locally at Christ the King Parish, 821 S. Dale Mabry Hwy. in Tampa on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 10:00 am, followed by burial at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Tampa. Fr. Jacob Monteleone will be the principal celebrant.

In fellowship with our Diaconate Community, Deacons able to attend are welcome to vest in the Gold & White Dalmatic.  Please follow signage for vesting.  (To assist the parish in planning, please let us know by January 5th if you plan on attending – diaconate@dosp.org.)
