ORDINATION TO THE PRIESTHOOD
Bishop Gregory Parkes will ordain Deacons Kyle Bell, Louis Turcotte and Timothy Williford to the priesthood on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle, St. Petersburg.

CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH
April is national Child Abuse Prevention Month. It is most appropriate that Child Abuse Prevention Month is held during the Easter season. There is no better season than Easter to celebrate the protection of our most valuable gift from God—our children. Mark your calendar now to join Bishop Gregory Parkes for the Family Faith Fest at Al Lopez Park in Tampa on October 27, 2018. To celebrate our 50-year anniversary, the Diocese of St. Petersburg is offering a music and faith festival that includes Confession, Eucharistic Adoration, and the celebration of Mass. Two stages will feature live music and entertainment. This is a free event, open to all. www.FamilyFaithFest.org.

On Monday, April 30 at 7:00 pm, John Bell of the Iona Community, will visit Higgins Hall (St. Lawrence Church) in Tampa to present a light-hearted presentation on the hidden humor in holy scriptures.
John Bell is an ordained minister of the Church of Scotland, a challenging homilist, a hymn writer and musician in great demand throughout the world. Though he is a frequent visitor to America this is a rare opportunity to hear him in Florida.
