Celebrating Women Religious During National Catholic Sisters Week
National Catholic Sisters Week (NCSW) is an annual celebration that takes place from March 8 through March 14. Created to honor women religious, it is a week to bring greater focus and attention to the lives of these incredible women and to recognize all they have done for their communities, the world, and the Church. The women of Catholic religious orders serve people from all walks of life. With selflessness and unwavering commitment, Catholic sisters improve the lives of millions. Catholic sisters educate children, tend to the sick, advocate for those living on the margins of society, and more. Take a look into the lives of the Franciscan Sisters of St. Elizabeth and the Servants of Jesus the High Priest and how they serve the people of the Diocese of St. Petersburg.

National Catholic Sisters Week, a branch of National Catholic Sisters Project headquartered at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisc., is headquartered at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn., and is held in conjunction with Women’s History Month.
