St. Paul Lenten Retreat
St. Paul Catholic School participated in its’ first school-wide Lenten Retreat on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Students in grades K-8 moved between four locations. Each place was connected to a phrase that Jesus used before He died, and each location had Lenten activities. The four phrases were; “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”, Jesus said to his mother, “Woman, this is our son.” Then he said to the disciple; “This is your mother.”, and finally “ I thirst”. Student activities included learning about the pretzel story, making cards for this year’s Catechumens, decorating a cross to be used during Living Stations, the Sorrowful Mysteries, team building activities, a hand activity, and a session on forgiveness. The retreat ended with the 8th grade students presenting a Living Stations of the Cross. The students and teachers enthusiastically participated in this very special day.
