Building & Renovating Worship Spaces

“When churches are to be built, let great care be taken that they are suitable for the celebration of liturgical services and for the active participation of the faithful.” – Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, #124

The Diocesan Committee for Liturgical Art, Architecture & Environment (DCLAA&E) is a standing committee that reviews the liturgical aspects for all building or renovating of worship spaces within the Diocese of St. Petersburg.  The DCLAA&E meets the third Tuesday of every month and has developed guidelines and a checklist to assist pastors, architects, builders, and parish building committees.
