Diocesan Pastoral Council

Purpose

The Diocesan Pastoral Council was created by Bishop Robert N. Lynch in 2006 of the Diocese of St. Petersburg as a consultative body to assist him in the formulation of policy regarding Diocesan ministry activities, issues of concern to the faithful, other pertinent issues that the Council may identify to the Bishop, initiatives by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and issues that the Bishop may ask the Council to consider.  Ultimate policy and decision making shall rest with the Bishop who has full discretion to act in any manner upon Council proposals.

The members represent the community in the (5) county region of the Diocese, Clergy, Deacons, Ministry
