September 27, 2016 – Donations to the 2016 Annual Pastoral Appeal (APA) continue growing, and have now exceeded $8.7 million in pledges, with more than $7.9 million paid to date. As we head into fall, we offer many thanks to the more than 26,000 donors who make our diocesan ministries, services, and programs possible across our 5 county area.
The gifts we receive through the APA enable us to show generosity, love and mercy by effectively advocating for the dignity of the human person at every stage of life, reaching out to those living on the fringes of society and aiding their physical, spiritual and emotional needs through the services of Catholic Charities and more than 50 pastoral programs. We open the door to mercy by supporting thousands of children in their Catholic education and formation. And together, we open the door to mercy by welcoming and embracing the growing diversity within our diocesan community.
This is why our theme for APA 2016 is Open the Door to Mercy. Your gift to the APA is an excellent way to benefit your parish and to participate in the life-changing corporal and spiritual works of mercy of our diocese. To make a gift to the Annual Pastoral Appeal, click here.
